Lawn Weeds
This is one service that many customers request support with: lawn weeds can be very difficult to tackle and to keep away!
And unfortunately, even the best kept lawns are susceptible to weeds. There are dozens of common weeds which naturally occur in our English lawns.
Our damp fertile environment in the UK often creates the perfect conditions for new weed seeds to germinate. If left to Mother Nature, lawns can be overcome by weed infestation.
The odd weed or two should not offend us, as they will not cause our lawns to fail and are easily dug out or spot treated as they appear.
We never carry out blanket weed treatment unnecessarily and some of our long-standing clients rarely need weed treatment, as they simply tease out the weeds as they appear.
We can provide a one-off weed killer service as required, or provide this service within other services as part of our Seasonal Treatments weed and feed programme.
Our Lawn Weed Control service is environmentally friendly, and pet friendly, using the minimum amount of chemicals possible.
This normally means one treatment per year of selective herbicide and spot treatment thereafter if required. This way we destroy the weed plant and do not harm the lawn.
Different families of weeds will require a different weed killer for the treatment to be effective. Most varieties of weeds are currently controllable other than Speedwell and Field Woodrush.
See our weed identifier chart below for some common lawn weeds:

It is worth noting that weed control is an ongoing process, and it may take several treatments before your weeds disappear.
